Key Responsibilities


In this challenging yet rewarding role, you are an integral part of what brings our Company's mission to life. You must have the following required skills, certifications and demonstrated experience in and/or with:
  • Actively participating in data modeling project teams.
  • Translating business needs into actionable technical requirements.
  • Identifying, analyzing and implementing scalable solutions for optimizing operational efficiency of production systems and processes.
  • Conducting advanced modeling and data analysis.
  • Applying varied mathematical, statistical, and data analytics techniques.
  • Developing models in support of geographic analysis.
  • Using the scientific method such as setting up hypotheses, testing them through experimentation, evaluating results.
  • Tying testing to quantitative metrics.
  • Gathering and analyzing requirements.
  • Configuration management.
  • Performance measurement and metrics.
  • Developing custom database scripts, queries, and graphical interfaces.
  • Designing and optimizing logical data architectures.
  • Conducting data extraction, parsing, and manipulation and storage.
  • Cleaning labeled data in preparation for use in machine learning and statistical approaches.
  • Designing, building, and deploying production read data pipelines incorporating SQL and NoSQL backends.
  • Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with source control software such as Git or GitHub.
  • Using continuous build and delivery software such as Jenkins.
  • Automated testing.
  • Deployment of infrastructure or configurations.
  • Using Cloud resources such as AWS or Azure.
  • Distributed computation.
  • Creating parallel processing operations by managing the number of processors used in an operation given memory limitations.
  • Automating data preparation methods.
  • Creating a CLI for turnkey operation from a non-technical user.
  • Designing, implementing, and leveraging APIs.
  • Programming with Python.
  • Using data analytic Python packages including Scikit Learn and Pandas.
  • Using issue management software such as Jira.
  • Using documentation and collaboration software such as Confluence.

Highly Desired Qualifications


Other skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not mandatory to perform the work, include:
  • Using Machine learning approaches working with both labeled (supervised approach) and unlabeled (unsupervised approach) data.
  • Working on team managed using an Agile development process.
  • Development of new analytic systems.
  • Handling encrypted data or working with encrypted systems.
  • Creating, drafting, and reviewing technical program documentation.
