Summary: A successful self motivated CNC programmer will be responsible for reading and interpreting technical blueprints, inputting the design specifications, adjusting the machine cutting paths, and performing quality checks on the final product. This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager and is an office, hourly position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models.
    • Loading raw materials into the CNC machine module.
    • Inputting the product design into the computer modeling software.
    • Choosing and loading the correct cutting tools for the job.
    • Creating detailed operational setup sheets.
    • Adjusting machine settings to the desired product specifications.
    • Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process.
    • Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product.
    • Cleaning and maintaining the machine.
    • Training new staff on machine operation / programming procedures.
    • Setting up CNC DNC communication parameters and additional machines.
    • Collaborate with other team members to provide input in fixture design.
    • Navigating Epicor ERP System.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma or GED required.
  • 2-4 years previous work experience as a CNC 3 axis lathe & 4 axis mill G & M code programmer.
  • Ability to read and interpret design blueprints.
  • Experienced with computer modeling / drafting software.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and stick to a deadline.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work after-hours / weekends when required.
  • Ability to take off site training courses for ongoing software updates.
