Job Description
The ideal candidate will possess a terminal degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a closely related field, with a strong emphasis on AI and data analytics. This position is designed for experienced professionals who are passionate about teaching and mentoring graduate students in advanced AI and data science concepts, methodologies, and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver course content for graduate-level AI and Data Science classes.
- Provide instruction in areas such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, big data analytics, and data visualization.
- Engage students through interactive and innovative teaching methods.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Stay current with advancements in AI and data science technologies and incorporate them into the curriculum.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure course content aligns with the program’s objectives and goals.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development and review.
- Support the institution’s Christian mission, including attendance a chapel services, scheduled or called meetings, commencement programs, and Faculty Forum meetings.
- Provide a Christian role model for students.
- Maintain a strong interest in the pursuit of knowledge and shares it with students and scholars.
- Promote the discipline on and off campus and attracts students to the field.
- Participate in academic unit meetings and cooperates with other members of the Faculty.
- Identify with professional organizations and professionals of the discipline at all educational levels.
- Assist in recruiting new Faculty members within the academic unit.
- Assist students by continually monitoring and evaluating students’ progress and making appropriate referrals to academic and personal support services, as necessary, to meet student needs.
- Demonstrate excellence in teaching.
