Job Information

At CSAA Insurance Services, Inc.’s office in Glendale, AZ, design and develop solutions using SmartCOMM, including forms, attachment rules, data mapping, etc. Create Static Layouts for Print and Responsive Layouts for Web Designing multi-channel templates. Employ technical knowledge to create Simple, Scriptable Batch Config/Template Selector, Output Configurations for post-processing, and SmartCOMM APIs. Be a lead and an architect to help establish a technical vision and deliver innovative capabilities which are consistent, maintainable, and highly scalable for various commerce experiences. Work within microservices architecture, domain-driven design, and RESTful APIs using Java or Python. Work on integrating Smart Communications with other applications, vendors, and cloud solutions such as Amazon web services and Guidewire. Practice full DevOps to ensure a culture of development, testing, and releasing software using continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) using automation and monitoring. Leverage SQL and NoSQL data storage to design for security, reliability, availability, maintainability, and performance. Deliver software in Scrum or other agile development processes/methodologies.  May mentor and lead other developers on a project basis. May work remotely within commuting distance of Glendale, AZ office.

Requires Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, an Engineering discipline or a related field, and 5 years of experience in customer communication management for insurance applications. Employer will accept as the equivalent a Master’s degree in one of the requisite fields and 2 years of experience in customer communication management for insurance applications.

Experience must include:

• SmartCOMM Modules including Data Modeler, Advanced Template Designer, Web Editor, and API as well as configuration and Deployment Models; 

• Integrating SmartCOMM into insurance platforms;

• AWS SmartCOMM integration;

• Javascript, XML and JSON;

• UML and Design Patterns; and

• At least 2 years of experience as a SmartCOMM developer for insurance applications.
