The Oracle Hardware Development team within OCI is re-architecting the provisioning layer so we can continue to scale our service to meet the demands of our exponential growth.
We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to support operations of hardware provisioning service, and develop automation to support and test the service. Expertise in Software development, Java, and Python is highly desired.
Our team of highly capable Software Engineers spans multiple time zones and works in a DevOps mode to deliver and support solutions that are core to Oracle's revenue growth.

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Software Engineer and work on exciting, enterprise-grade Cloud Management products. Our unique team works on everything from user level applications and interfaces to low-level hardware interfaces and everything in between. We control the full software life cycle from architecture to release. Help shape the Cloud Management offerings for Oracle's Cloud Servers while working with some of the most talented and experienced software developers in the industry.
Specifically, you will contribute your talents and skills towards the design & development of secure Cloud Management software using industry standard System, Network and Storage Management protocols that are the foundation of Oracle's Cloud offering.
The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills and will be expected to use these skills to communicate with a geographically diverse team across many technology consumers.

ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities
- As a senior software engineer, you are expected to support provisioning software stack in multiple roles.
- Support Fleet operations by being oncall, debug & triage issues, monitor tickets and provide technical support to internal customers/teams.
- Develop test cases and automation to test provisioning code
- Develop tools/scripts to help with deployment, debug & triage tasks and monitoring OCI Fleet health
- Authoring runbooks by collaborating with development and support teams
Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS or higher degree in Computer Science or Equivalent
- 6 or more years of professional experience as a member of a software development or product development team
- Experience with entire product life cycle: Architecture, Design, Implement, Support
- Strong expertise in Python, Java, C/C++ (preferred), Shell Scripting
- Strong understanding of Unix/Linux systems, embedded systems (preferred)
- Expertise in troubleshooting OS, application and hardware issues
- Familiarity with several of the following technologies: Jenkins, Grafana, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Jira Ticketing System
- Excellent written and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in writing ETL pipelines, designing and developing dashboards to meet business requirements. Working with Analytics tools like Oracle Analytics Cloud is highly desired
- Prior experience with Cloud Computing Companies – OCI (preferred), Azure, AWS
- Work in an agile DevOps continuous testing/delivery development environment with geographically distributed teams is highly desired
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, ML/AI tools and frameworks

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
