Job Description:

The Florida Department of Transportation is seeking a Lead Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain the SunPass app for iOS, Android, and web. The role focuses on cross-platform development, responsive web design, and performance optimization.

  • Develop Cross-Platform Applications using React Native (Expo + EAS) for mobile and React with Vite & Tailwind CSS for web. (7+ years)
  • Convert Wireframes to Functional Interfaces using Figma to deliver pixel-perfect designs. (7+ years)
  • Develop Core Features like secure login, account tracking, fund reloading, transaction history, and transponder management. (7+ years)
  • Ensure Code Quality & Testing using TypeScript, ESLint, Jest, and Storybook for mobile and responsive web applications. (7+ years)
  • Manage Application State using MobX State Trees for optimized performance. (7+ years)
  • Debug & Integrate APIs using Reactotron for React Native, Postman for API testing, Android Studio, and Xcode for platform-specific debugging. (7+ years)
  • Follow Security Best Practices for handling sensitive user data. (7+ years)
  • Mentor Junior Developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams. (7+ years)
  • Stay Updated with Emerging Technologies to improve scalability and responsiveness. (7+ years)
