CNC Swiss Programmer / Machinist

## Overview
WiseLex BPO is seeking a highly skilled CNC Swiss Programmer / Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. This role requires hands-on involvement from part concept through drawing/CAD model interpretation, programming, setup, prove-out, first article approval, and production release. The ideal candidate will blend programming expertise with practical machining and process development, delivering production-ready solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Machines: Star Swiss lathes and equivalent CNC platforms

## What You'll Do
- CNC Programming & Process Development — create CNC programs using CAD/CAM software, develop machining strategies, convert drawings and models into production-ready programs, select tooling and machining processes, optimize cycle times and efficiency
- Setup, Prove-Out & Production Release — perform machine setups, run first articles, prove out new programs, validate dimensions and tolerances, troubleshoot machining issues, release jobs into production
- Manufacturing Support — provide technical support to machinists, support engineering changes, troubleshoot production challenges, improve manufacturing processes
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings to ensure conformance to specifications
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to drive continuous improvement in process capability and yield
- Document process parameters, tooling lists, and setup sheets for repeatability and training
- Maintain and calibrate cutting tools, fixtures, and inspection gauges as needed

## Required Qualifications
- CNC programming experience with CAD/CAM software
- Setup experience on CNC turning/milling platforms
- First article inspection experience and production release responsibilities
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T understanding
- Troubleshooting ability across machining, tooling, and process parameters
- Production support experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams

## Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Star Swiss or comparable CNC platforms
- Familiarity with PartMaker, Mastercam, CAMWorks, or similar CAD/CAM software
- Background in industries requiring high precision and tight tolerances
- Knowledge of tooling selection, speeds, feeds, and process optimization
- Experience supporting engineering changes and part integrations
