Benefits You'll Love

Become a Key Player as a CNC Programmer Specialist

You will coordinate complex NC programming from engineering design through finished parts, ensuring dimensional conformity and efficient throughput for the manufacturing floor. You will partner with engineering, production, and quality teams to implement and optimize machining processes in an onsite, day-shift production environment (1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM).

Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team

  • Write and update complex NC/CNC programs to control machine movements and encode direct numerical control data.
  • Select cutting tools, calculate proper speeds/feeds, and outline operation sequences to safely and economically produce parts to specification.
  • Determine dimensions and configurations for difficult cuts and adjust programs for engineering changes or improvements.
  • Coordinate tape tryouts and verify accuracy by comparing encoded output with original programs and documentation.
  • Prepare geometric layouts using drafting tools or CAD to show reference points and cutting paths.
  • Analyze methods and materials to recommend continuous improvement actions and lead lean manufacturing initiatives and special projects.
  • Train, mentor, and provide technical leadership to less experienced staff; serve as a resource across teams.

Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role

  • Associate's degree or completion of a related trade school program in NC Programming (Education Required: Associate's Degree).
  • Seven or more years of directly related CNC/NC programming experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of numerical control programming principles and CNC programming language.
  • Thorough knowledge of tooling, appropriate speeds and feeds, machine sequences, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to correct and optimize NC programs and develop part processes that integrate programming practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze data, evaluate outcomes, and establish project goals.
  • Effective communication skills to present information to team members, team leaders, and management.

Here's What Else Might Help You Out

  • Experience applying continuous improvement methods (process mapping, design-to-production automation).
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects or serving as prime contact on high-level projects.

Pay Range

$33.60 - $42.00/hour
