We are seeking an Artificial Intelligence & Data Innovation Architect to join our team and support our federal customer.

Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information. This is a highly technical position; individuals will be screened by peers in a technical review of skills and experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and/or maturation of AI accelerators and other corporate innovations.
  • Collaborate with other Unissant technologists and participate in Solutions and Innovation Group activities (team meetings, communities of interest, etc.).
  • Provide support for data platform migration initiatives by assisting with system design documentation, including business and technical requirements for migrating data assets, data pipelines, and reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and stakeholders to document existing workflows, data models, and system dependencies, and help ensure that migrated data and analytics solutions align with business and reporting needs.
  • Apply human-centered design and UX best practices to define user journeys, wireframes, and content structures that improve usability and adoption of mission-centric data and analytics solutions.
  • Contribute to strategic AI initiatives by helping define usecases, governance guidelines, and adoption roadmaps that align emerging AI capabilities with organizational goals and stakeholder needs.
  • Support testing and validation activities related to data migration efforts, including system testing, data validation, and user acceptance testing.
  • Perform data reconciliation and verification to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across source systems, target data platforms, and reporting tools. Document testing outcomes and assist in resolving data discrepancies.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of collaboration and knowledge management platforms used by project teams.
  • Help organize content, manage document libraries, and maintain structured information architecture to support easy access to project materials and documentation. Support the creation and maintenance of pages, dashboards, repositories, and other resources used by stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain program documentation for data, analytics, and AI-related services. Document processes, frameworks, governance guidelines, use cases, operational procedures, and service offerings.
  • Maintain centralized repositories of solutions, best practices, and reference materials to support knowledge sharing and organizational adoption.
  • Support enterprise product strategy for a portfolio of AI/ML accelerator tools, defining product roadmaps, success metrics, and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with executive leadership.
  • Design, build, and deploy product demonstrations and prototypes to validate product-market fit, incorporating iterative testing and stakeholder feedback.
  • Represent the organization as a thought leader by delivering presentations and participating in industry panels across government and commercial markets.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI/ML and emerging technologies, such as generative AI and reinforcement learning.
  • Conduct research and experiments to explore new AI techniques and applications, including prompt engineering, Advanced RAGs and fine-tuning LLMs.

Work Experience and Job Skills:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience with AI/ML engineering projects, MLOps and DevSecOps and technical architecture specifically.
  • Proficiency in developing, deploying, and fine-tuning generative AI models, including large language models (LLMs).
  • Experience with natural language processing techniques (e.g., text classification, language generation).
  • Solid understanding of any of the cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and deployment strategies.
  • Solid understanding of MLOps and DevSecOps practices for deploying AI-ML models and applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills, and ability to effectively manage concurrent projects.
  • Comprehensive problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn, evolve, think creatively and proactively.
  • Able to work under pressure (at times) and to be extremely flexible with changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting, take ownership of and complete relatively complex tasks, effectively using available resources, as needed, with minimal guidance.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or Engineering is preferred. Alternative work-related experience, Military Duty, and/or specialized or higher education may be substituted.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

  • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Communication Skills:

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • Must work well in a matrixed team environment. ​

Travel:

  • Mostly remote, with occasional customer-site meetings.

Environmental Requirements:

  • Mainly sedentary; in an office environment
  • May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds
  • Flexible in working extended hours
