Indian River State College is seeking an imaginative and mission-driven Artificial Intelligence Solutions Architect to help shape the future of how our College uses AI to support students, empower employees, and strengthen the learning experience. Working within established administrative guidelines, you will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of AI systems that enhance academic quality, streamline operations, and expand access for learners. You will guide faculty and staff in using AI responsibly and confidently, serving as a trusted partner in aligning innovation with the College’s values.

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of established administrative guidelines, this position is charged with guiding the strategic implementation, assessment, and expansion of AI systems throughout the College that are intended to advance institutional priorities by improving academic quality, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting student achievement. Responsibilities includes translating the College’s strategic vision into measurable and actionable results through the deployment of practical AI tools and automation technologies. Serves as a central resource for faculty and staff, providing leadership in the ethical, transparent, and responsible integration of AI in accordance with Board Policy 8822 and the College’s 4D Model of AI Fluency: Delegation, Description, Discernment, and Diligence.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position requires an ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, and carry items occasionally more than twenty-five (25) pounds. It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines, such as, copier, fax, calculator, telephone, and other equipment as necessary. IRSC expects its employees to follow proper safety standards while employed by the College.

Continued employment remains on an “at-will” basis. Travel to each of the assessments on a monthly basis or as needed.
